Drawbars
Drawbars shall meet the following: drawbar to be a minimum of 2 square inches total steel material at any point. This includes the area of the pin with the pin removed. The pin will be a minimum of 7/8 inch. Drawbar must be equipped with a steel hitching device not more than 1.5 x 1.5 square (or 1.5 round) and with an oblong shaped hole 3.75 inches long and 3 inches wide. No drawbar support tubes attached above the centerline of the rear axle, unless using the stock drawbar support for that make and model. Absolutely no drawbar supports designed to pull only from, or to be attached only to a point above the centerline of the rear axle.
Drawbar maximum height 20”.
Drawbar to be no shorter than 18” from center of axle.
Engines
- Each competing vehicle must have a working RPM pick up on their vehicle. The pick-up must be wired uninterrupted to a common 3-prong household electrical receptacle that is to be mounted on the back of the vehicle directly above the drawbar area. The pick-up MUST be in working order during competition.
- If a competitor’s pick-up does not work at an event, they may be hand-tached immediately after leaving the track after a competitive pass. A competitor must be tached trackside. Leaving the track before being tached results in disqualification.
- If a competitor’s pick-up does not work at an event, they have until the next event to repair it. A competitor may not compete at two events in a row without a working pick-up.
- Engine must be stock block and head for that make or model. Direct OEM replacement allowed (with board approval).
- Engines are limited to factory intake and exhaust manifolds for the make and model. Adapter plates for turbo are allowed; plates thicker than 1” must be approved by the board. Intake inlet will remain in factory position and size. Adaptors are allowed between turbo and intake.
- No intercoolers allowed. OEM agricultural intercooler manifolds are allowed without cooling assistance hooked up.
- Tractors limited to 426 cubic inches (+1% allowance).
- Engine RPM limited to 2500 RPM maximum.
- Turbo must be an S362 or 3LM466 sealed and approved by the board. Three exhaust housing sizes allowed. No exhaust wheel modifications. Turbo claim rule applies.
- Injection pump may be stock appearing or upgraded up to a P7100 pump.
Chassis
- Tractors must be stock appearing other than safety items.
- Engine, transmission, frame rails, and rear end housing must bolt together in factory position.
- Must use OEM wide front axles and OEM rear axle housings (including planetary axle).
- Factory sheet metal required; no aftermarket sheet metal or radiator supports.
- All wheels must be steel (pressed steel rear rims allowed). Aftermarket hubs allowed for pressed steel rear rims.
Exhaust Systems
- Exhaust must exit vertically with no rain caps.
- Turbo engines must have two 1/2-inch grade 5 bolts in vertical or horizontal portion of the exhaust pipe, 90 degrees apart and within one inch of each other. A star is recommended.
Fuel and Fuel Containers
- No nitrous oxide, oxygen, or nitro methane.
- Tractors must run on diesel fuel.
- No water or alcohol injection.
Kill Switches
All diesel competing vehicles must have an air shut-off and fuel shut-off in working order at all times.
- Kill cable must activate air and fuel shut-offs. Cable must be enclosed and positive-type for air shut-off.
- Air shut-off cap must be spring-loaded. Gasket/seal recommended.
