With the ever growing popularity of diesel trucks, the IPA was looking for the right opportunity and demand to make a diesel truck class part of its show. Now that the IPA has been able to combine the right rules with the right interest, they are able to offer the 2.6 Diesel Truck class for a probationary year. With an estimated 600 horsepower with a single turbocharger and one-ton driveline limits, the IPA feels that they can offer a quality class of trucks that will appeal to the promoter and fans. The 2.6 class should also be very competitive that will appeal to the diesel truck enthusiast as well.
